I’m surprised that my little response exploded into such an expanded debate. I’ve read every single one of your responses and I have to say that a great majority of you have blown it out of proportion and have inaccurately drawn far too much out of the simple specific response I provided.
Though I completely understand and respect all of your opinions, I have no idea where “ricers” and “douchebags” entered the picture. There are morons in every single congregation of anything in life, whether that be snowboarding, school, photography, or the automotive industry. They are insignificant to me, therefore not even considered whenever I refer to crowds of any sort unless specified otherwise. Unless you are one of those people, you shouldn’t even associate yourself with them, or waste any of your time paying them mind and just let them roll off your shoulder.
This question specifically asked me about Hondas. So I answered accordingly. This does not mean I discredit or demean any other manufacturer out there. And, “Good answer from a girl?” Sex is irrelevant. You don’t know what I do, and don’t “seem to realize”, ispycleanimports. I attend meets weekly, and events/trackdays across Florida as much as my wallet and work schedule allow me. Sometimes Hondas populate 75% of the event. I am well aware of the stupidity some drivers/owners possess, regardless of the make of the car they are driving. I did not say that I “want” something easy to work on, mystickidjaydee, but when you’re trying to do a simple task, such as changing out a power steering pump within the tight engine bay of an R32 GT-R, shit gets old really quick. And if you “love a challenge”, then try to make a Honda, which comes from the factory undeniably underpowered, run up to par with Evo’s, Datsuns with rotaries, and 2jz swaps in light chassis. And then maybe you will find the passion I was referring to.
Most, if not all of your responses were referring to nothing but the negatives in Honda. And if you guys weren’t so focused on the negatives of what the Honda scene have to offer, or what anything in life has to offer in general, then maybe you would have less to bitch about.
